How I Met Your Mother

douglas

They say love will eventually find you,
But it isn't always the case.
I had to search for her,
Fight for her love,
Be the man I never knew I could be.

Growing up, I was a fool,
Believed in fairy tales,
But tucked my tail if I saw a girl.
And I'm glad I did,
For it led me to her.

I was the shy one, afraid of rejection,
Timid, lonely, yearning for something I couldn't comprehend.
And then, I saw her.

In her eyes, I saw the light that guided me home.
I saw my future clearly,
Felt something so true and profound.
It was as if the world had shifted,
And everything made sense.

I remember that first meeting,
My heart pounding like a drum,
Hands trembling, voice quivering.
But in her smile, I found courage,
In her laugh, I found hope.

She was everything I had dreamed of,
And more.
A muse for my soul,
A beacon in the dark.

We talked for hours,
Lost in each other's words,
Each story, a thread weaving our hearts together.
Her laughter, a melody that haunts me still,
Her touch, a whisper of warmth on my skin.

I told her of my dreams,
She shared her fears.
We built castles out of conversations,
Found solace in shared tears.

Every moment with her was a revelation,
Every glance, a promise of forever.
We danced in the moonlight of our hopes,
Sang songs of love beneath the stars.

And when I finally held her close,
Felt her heartbeat in sync with mine,
I knew I had found my home,
My anchor in the storm.

They say love will find you,
But I found love in her eyes,
In her smile, in her embrace.
She was my fairy tale come true,
The ending I never dared to write.

So, my dear children,
That's how I met your mother.
Through shy glances and bold moves,
Through laughter and tears,
Through dreams and reality.

And in her, I found everything,
My love, my life, my forever.
For in her eyes, I saw the light that guided me home,
A love that burns eternally,
A bond that will never be broken.
